Know The Fretboard Notes

If you’re serious about learning guitar then you have to know the notes on your guitar’s fretboard. The notes on a guitar go up chromatically. This means they go up half a step at a time. If you where to start on A, the notes would ascend like this… A, A#/Bb, B, C, C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab, A. See how there are no sharps or flats between B and C, or E and F. (Sharps, flats, and half-steps will all be explained in later lessons.)

The numbers on the bottom of the diagram represent the fret numbers..
